Baseball season is in full swing, and there’s an unforgettable way for your child to be part of the action at Dunkin’ Park. Thanks to American Eagle Financial Credit Union, kids ages 7 to 14 have the chance to become an official Junior PA Announcer at a Hartford Yard Goats home game, announcing real players to the crowd, live from the booth, and getting the VIP treatment while they’re at it.
It’s a completely free opportunity, and the lucky winners don’t just get time behind the mic, they’ll also receive four tickets to the game so the whole family can cheer them on.
Each Junior PA steps into the American Eagle Production Booth, gets help from the Yard Goats’ production team, and introduces the players as they come up to bat.
For any kid who’s a fan of baseball, or just loves to be in the spotlight, it’s a moment they’ll never forget.
Want your child to be the next one up at bat (so to speak)? It’s easy (and free) to enter.
Just fill out the official form on the American Eagle website before the September 1 deadline. You can enter your child for multiple game dates, though each child can only win once per season. Winners are selected weekly on Tuesdays before home game series, so be sure to check your inbox.
Even if your child doesn’t win, Dunkin’ Park is one of the best family-friendly venues, and going to a game is one of the most exciting things to do with kids in Connecticut.
Located in the heart of Hartford, the stadium is clean, welcoming, and loaded with fun features for all ages.
Don’t miss the Penny Press near the American Eagle Production Booth behind home plate—you’ll get a great souvenir, and 100% of the proceeds go to the Yard Goats Foundation.
A few tips before you go:
- The stadium is cashless, so plan to use cards or mobile pay for food, drinks, and merchandise.
- There’s a wide variety of food options, including vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free selections, and staff are happy to accommodate special requests.
- Parking is close and easy to access, and strollers are welcome, as long as they’re tucked under your seat and not blocking walkways.
- Oh—and make time to visit the real goats in center field if they’re on hand for your game. Yes, there are usually actual goats on hand during many select games. It’s one of those charming little extras that makes a Yard Goats game even more fun for younger fans.
Handing a kid the mic in front of a stadium crowd might sound intimidating, but it’s exactly the kind of unforgettable experience that sticks with them for years. The Junior PA Announcer program builds confidence, encourages kids to try something new, and lets them play a real role in the game-day fun. It’s also a great example of American Eagle Financial Credit Union’s dedication to supporting local families in meaningful, lasting ways.
