Taste of the Park Dinner Series: The Italian Shrine at Wickham Park

Food and garden enthusiasts can enjoy an evening of fine Italian cuisine and horticultural history at the third installment of the Taste of the Park Dinner Series, taking place on August 7, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Wickham Park in Manchester, Connecticut.

The evening begins with a cocktail hour set in the park’s Italian Shrine, where guests will hear from Jeff Maron, Wickham Park Emeritus, as he shares the history of the original gardens. Following the reception, attendees will proceed to the Emerald Room for a themed three-course Italian dinner prepared by David Alan Hospitality.

The featured menu includes a chef’s choice amuse-bouche and assorted bruschetta with Italian wedding soup to start, followed by spring vegetable risotto as the appetizer. The entrée features roasted chicken spinach and artichoke lasagna, and the meal concludes with a panna cotta dessert.

Tickets are $65 per person, and guests can reserve individual seats or entire tables of eight. A cash bar will be available throughout the event. Reservations are required and must be made by July 31. All ticket sales are final, and guests are encouraged to notify organizers of any dietary restrictions or allergies prior to purchasing.
