New Haven Ballet at Shubert Theatre

New Haven Ballet will present its 2025 Spring Mixed Repertory on May 24 at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. This engaging performance features a variety of classical and contemporary works performed by students of New Haven Ballet School and the New Haven Ballet Company.
The repertory includes Adventures in Wonderland, a vibrant ballet choreographed by Lisa Kim Sanborn, based on the beloved children’s tale. Audiences can expect to see iconic characters such as Alice, the Mad Hatter, and the Queen of Hearts, brought to life with professional sets and costumes.
Also featured is La Bayadère, Kingdom of Shades, a classical ballet with music by Ludwig Minkus and choreography inspired by Marius Petipa’s original staging. The performance will include guest artist William Gutierrez as Solor.
Caprice Nos. 4 and 5, set to music by Polina Nazaykinskaya and performed by Nathaniel Strothkamp, will showcase a neo-classical piece choreographed by Lisa Kim Sanborn that first premiered at the Whitney Arts Center in 2021.
Additionally, the Shared Ability program led by Kerry Kincy will highlight a piece created and performed by young artists with disabilities. Contemporary and Broadway dance works will also be presented by New Haven Ballet School students.
