Ivy Queen, the trailblazing “Queen of Reggaetón,” brings her powerful presence and legendary hits to the Palace Theater in Waterbury on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 8 pm to 10 pm.
With over three decades in the music industry, Ivy Queen has broken barriers, inspired generations, and paved the way for women in reggaetón. She made history as the first reggaetón artist to perform at Carnegie Hall and has earned countless accolades, including multiple Billboard awards, ASCAP honors, Premios Juventud recognitions, and three Latin Grammy nominations. She has also been celebrated by People en Español as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women and one of the 50 Most Beautiful People. In 2023, she received the Woman Icon Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards, the Legacy Award for Urban Music at Premio Lo Nuestro, and the Icon Award at the Billboard Awards.
Born in New York and raised in Añasco, Puerto Rico, Martha Ivelisse Pesante, better known as Ivy Queen, began her career with the influential group The Noise before launching her solo career with En Mi Imperio in 1997. She rose to international fame with the platinum-certified Diva in 2003 and went on to release acclaimed albums such as Real, Flashback, Sentimiento, Drama Queen, and Musa. Known for her fierce lyrics, dynamic performances, and advocacy for women, Ivy Queen remains a defining force in Latin music.
