Family Program: Beat the Heat at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Families can escape the summer sun with a day of musical fun during Beat the Heat at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History in Hartford on Saturday, August 2. This free, family-friendly event offers interactive music classes, crafts, instrument-making activities, snacks, and more from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Highlights include sing-alongs with Miss Kaite of Spirit in Tune, hands-on experiences with instruments led by the Hartford Symphony Orchestra, and opportunities for kids to create their own instruments to take home. Throughout the day, families can explore the rhythms and melodies of music in a welcoming, air-conditioned environment.

This program is free to attend, but pre-registration is required for the music classes with Spirit in Tune due to limited space.
