Docent Tour: Collection Highlight at Yale Center for British Art

Visitors can enjoy an engaging, docent-led tour of the Yale Center for British Art’s renowned collection on Saturday, August 2, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am. This guided experience offers a closer look at In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art, an exhibition featuring masterworks from the sixteenth century through the present, newly presented in a reimagined installation.
Led by the museum’s volunteer docents—seasoned educators and welcoming ambassadors—this interactive tour highlights key works while offering insightful perspectives and dialogue around the art and architecture. The tour also explores the museum’s iconic Louis I. Kahn-designed building, considered a masterpiece of modernist architecture.
Tours begin in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk and last approximately 45 minutes. Admission is free, and no advance registration is required.
