The Osprey are Back on the Connecticut River and they are working on their “nestorations”. The Osprey are actively bringing sticks to their nest, welcoming their mate back home and of course fishing. The trees and plants are full with buds and the river is still very quiet and peaceful, and RiverQuest is just about the only boat on the River so it’s a great time to cruise the Connecticut River.
Sign up for one of the upcoming RiverQuest cruises to see the beauty and solitude of the river for yourself.
While on a RiverQuest cruise, you will see many Osprey and possibly spot the resident Bald Eagles. Along the journey there are numerous Osprey nests and two Bald Eagle’s nests where you should see proud parents nearby. Ospreys may be sitting on egg(s) in their nests located along the river; some are still getting ready. Captain Mark, Mindy and Cathy will educate you on the Bald Eagle, the Osprey and their amazing migration, and any other birds/wildlife and points of interest you may see on our 2+ hour journey.
