“Worth Tasting” Downtown New Haven Culinary Tour at Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale

New Haven’s celebrated food scene comes to life during this guided culinary walking tour, offered on April 25, June 13, October 3, and December 12, 2026 from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm. Tours depart from the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, 155 Temple Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
Led by food columnist and hospitality expert Stephen Fries, the Downtown New Haven Culinary Tour visits six to seven restaurants and eateries, offering a curated introduction to the city’s diverse and nationally recognized dining culture. Along the way, participants will sample a variety of dishes while learning about the history, flavors, and people that define New Haven’s vibrant food community.
The approximately four-hour tour covers about 1.5 miles of walking and takes place rain or shine. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather. Advance notice of food allergies is requested, and accommodations will be made when possible.
