Windham-Campbell Prize Recipients Reading at Yale University

The 2025 Windham-Campbell Prize Festival will conclude with a special evening of readings on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm in the Lecture Hall at Yale University. Admission is free.

This rare event brings together all eight of this year’s prize recipients, offering audiences the chance to hear directly from writers whose work is shaping contemporary literature. The 2025 honorees are Sigrid Nunez (United States) and Anne Enright (Ireland) in fiction; Patricia J. Williams (United States) and Rana Dasgupta (United Kingdom) in nonfiction; Roy Williams (United Kingdom) and Matilda Feyiṣayọ (United Kingdom) in drama; and Anthony V. Capildeo (Scotland/Trinidad and Tobago) and Tongo Eisen-Martin (United States) in poetry.

The Windham-Campbell Prizes were established in 2013 and are administered by Yale’s Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library. The awards recognize literary excellence in fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and drama, while providing writers the freedom to pursue their work without financial constraints.
