Thursdays on the Dock: Bards of Gungywamp at the Connecticut River Museum

The Thursdays on the Dock concert series continues on July 24 with Bards of Gungywamp, a southeastern Connecticut folk group known for their eclectic blend of Celtic, sea songs, punk rock, old-time, and bluegrass influences. This lively band weaves New England tales through music, drawing inspiration from their namesake region and years of performing at local festivals, pubs, and markets.

The performance takes place from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on the museum’s scenic waterfront lawn. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the evening as the sun sets over the Connecticut River. Porky Pete’s BBQ will offer food for purchase, Deep River Ice will provide desserts, and a cash bar will serve beer and wine. No outside food or beverages are permitted. Museum-branded tumblers are available in the gift shop and include a beverage coupon and discounts on refills.

Admission is free and open to the public. Donations are accepted during the “pass the hat” portion of the evening to help support the series. In the event of rain, check the museum’s website for updates.
