Thursdays on the Dock: 102D Army Band at Connecticut River Museum

Thursdays on the Dock continues its summer tradition with a performance by the 102D Army Band on August 7, 2025, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the Connecticut River Museum in Essex.

Celebrating 16 years as a popular waterfront concert series, this event invites guests to relax by the river with live music, stunning sunset views, and a festive community atmosphere. The 102D Army Band, known as “Connecticut’s Own” Army National Guard Band, features 37 Soldier-Musicians and several ensembles. Performing patriotic favorites, the band’s brass section, Brass Chaos, delivers a spirited performance sure to entertain all ages.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. The event is free, and donations are welcome to support the series. Food and beverages will be available on-site from Porky Pete’s and Deep River Ice, and a cash bar will be open. Outside alcohol is not permitted. A museum-branded tumbler earns attendees a beverage coupon and refill discount.
