Growing Through the Seasons: Gardening Workshops at Yellow Farmhouse Education Center

Yellow Farmhouse Education Center and the farmers of Stone Acres Farm present Growing Through the Seasons, a hands-on workshop series running from April 3 through October 23, 2025. Designed for gardeners of all experience levels, this five-class series offers expert guidance on topics ranging from bed planning and pest management to tomato cultivation and soil care.
Workshops are held from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm on select dates at the Yellow Farmhouse Education Center, located at 389 North Main Street, Stonington, CT 06378. Each session is led by experienced local farmers and includes practical techniques to help participants grow a healthy and productive garden throughout the season.
Class schedule:
- Planning Your Garden: April 3 or April 17 (choose one date and email your preference to info@yellowfarmhouse.org)
- Managing Weeds & Pests: June 5
- Tomato Cultivation: August 7
- Soil Building: Compost and Fertilization: September 18
- Closing & Covering Up: October 23
Admission is $35 per workshop or $150 for the full five-class series. Proceeds support Yellow Farmhouse’s mission to promote sustainable, local food systems and agricultural education.
