The Sound of Color presented by the Ensign Darling Vocal Fellows at The Bushnell

An afternoon celebrating emerging vocal talent and musical storytelling takes place on May 31, 2026 at 4 pm at The Bushnell. The performance runs approximately two hours.

The concert opens with a 30-minute performance by the Noah Webster Jazzicians alongside select members of the 2026 Bushnell Performing Arts Scholars program.

Presented by the Ensign Darling Vocal Fellowships/New Voices, The Sound of Color serves as the culminating performance for the organization’s young artist program. Designed for motivated and creative singers with unique perspectives and stories to share, the program encourages performers to explore personal identity and artistic expression through music and performance.

The concert showcases the work developed throughout the season during lessons, masterclasses, and rehearsals, highlighting authentic voices and a wide range of musical styles and interpretations.

Admission is free, though advance RSVP registration is requested to assist with event communication and attendance planning.
