Broadway Kids & Company presents Disney’s The Little Mermaid on Friday, March 27 at 7 pm and Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 1 pm and 6 pm at the Garde Arts Center, 325 State Street, New London, CT 06320.
Based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen story and the classic animated film, this family-friendly musical tells the enchanting story of Ariel, King Triton’s youngest daughter, who dreams of exploring the human world. Determined to pursue Prince Eric on land, Ariel strikes a risky bargain with the sea witch Ursula, trading her tail for legs. With the help of her loyal friends—Flounder the fish, Scuttle the seagull, and Sebastian the crab—Ariel must restore balance under the sea before it is too late.
Featuring music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, and a book by Doug Wright, the musical includes beloved songs such as “Under the Sea,” “Kiss the Girl,” and “Part of Your World.” The production is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
Broadway Kids & Company, School of Performing Arts, was founded in 2000 by owner and artistic director Kristin Burrows to provide a nurturing environment where young performers can explore the arts, build confidence, and develop their talents. The school offers year-round performing arts programs for students from 18 months through adulthood.
