Book Talk: The Battle of Ridgefield at Wilton Historical Society

Local Revolutionary War history comes into focus during a book talk on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 2 pm to 3 pm at the Wilton Historical Society, 224 Danbury Road, Wilton, CT 06897.

Historian and author Keith Marshall Jones III will discuss his book The Battle of Ridgefield, which explores the largest inland battle fought in Connecticut during the American Revolutionary War. The presentation draws on research from a new generation of historians, along with findings from the National Park Service’s 2022 Ridgefield Battlefield Protection Program Phase I Study and newly accessible archival materials that shed fresh light on the historic conflict.

The talk will highlight the events surrounding the 1777 battle and its significance in the broader context of the Revolutionary War, bringing the region’s history to life through detailed research and storytelling. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation, and copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing.

Registration is required. Admission is free for Wilton Historical Society members and $10 for non-members. The program is sponsored by ASML.
