The Great Street Parade in Bridgeport

The Barnum Festival concludes its annual celebration with The Great Street Parade on June 28 at 11 am. One of Bridgeport’s most beloved traditions, the parade brings together marching bands, colorful floats, performers, community organizations, local leaders, and residents for a festive display of civic pride and community spirit.

As the signature event of the Barnum Festival, The Great Street Parade showcases the diverse organizations and traditions that make Greater Bridgeport unique. Spectators can enjoy live entertainment, creative floats, and performances from groups representing communities throughout the region.

The parade begins at the intersection of North Avenue, Clinton Avenue, and Brooklawn Avenue. The route proceeds down North Avenue to Park Avenue, turns right onto Capitol Avenue, and concludes at Lincoln Boulevard.

Presented as part of the Barnum Festival’s June finale events, the parade supports the Festival’s scholarship programs, community initiatives, and longstanding traditions that have brought generations of families together.

Admission is free and open to the public.
