The Art of Verse: Turner and Poetry at Yale Center for British Art

Experience the intersection of visual art and literature during The Art of Verse: Turner and Poetry, a special program at the Yale Center for British Art on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 5:30 pm. Presented in connection with the exhibition J. M. W. Turner: Romance and Reality, this event features award-winning contemporary poets reading original works inspired by specific pieces from the show.
Each poet has selected an object from the exhibition to explore through verse, offering a fresh lens through which to engage with Turner’s masterful landscapes. The program invites audiences to discover new meaning in the artwork through poetic interpretation.
