Teen Art Studio at American Mural Project
A creative drop-in program for teens takes place on May 9, 2026 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the American Mural Project, 90 Whiting Street, Winsted, CT 06098.
Teen Art Studio offers a welcoming space for ages 13 to 18 to explore new materials, develop artistic ideas, and connect with peers in a relaxed, supportive environment. Guided by a teaching artist, participants can experiment freely, build skills, and express their creativity without pressure.
Held every second Saturday, the studio encourages ongoing participation, allowing teens to return regularly to grow their portfolios and confidence. All materials are provided, along with access to the museum’s mural exhibit and additional Family Day activities happening on-site.
The cost is $5 per session for materials, or free with an AMP Student Membership. Advance registration is encouraged to help prepare materials, though drop-ins are welcome.
