Teddy Bear Festival at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo

Favorite stuffed animals take center stage during the Teddy Bear Festival at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 10 am to 2 pm. This annual family event combines imaginative play, wellness education, and wildlife discovery for a memorable day at the Zoo.

Children are encouraged to bring their favorite teddy bear or plush companion to the Teddy Bear Clinic, where pediatric specialists from Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital provide playful check-ups, bandaging, and pretend medical care designed to help young visitors feel more comfortable with healthcare. In addition to the clinic, families can enjoy educational activities throughout the Zoo, explore wildlife exhibits, and learn about animal care and conservation through interactive experiences.

Admission to the Teddy Bear Festival is included with regular Zoo admission. Advance ticket purchases are encouraged.
