Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight at the Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art presents a Student Guide Tour: Collection Spotlight, offering visitors a fresh and personal perspective on In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art. Each tour is designed by a Student Guide, focusing on a unique theme within the museum’s collection and exploring how art reflects culture, identity, and history across centuries.

The exhibition sheds light on Britain’s complex artistic legacy, featuring works from the sixteenth century to the present. Highlights include portraits that reveal social hierarchies of class and race, landscapes that capture the transformation of an agrarian world, and allegorical works that reflect political and spiritual shifts across time.

The tour will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 2:00 to 2:45 pm at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. No registration is required, but space is limited. Participants should meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk. Admission is free.
