Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive in Lower Fairfield County

A community-wide food drive takes place on May 9, 2026 from 9 am to 5 pm across Lower Fairfield County, CT.
Organized by the National Association of Letter Carriers, the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is the nation’s largest single-day food collection effort. Residents can participate by placing a bag of non-perishable food items by their mailbox on the morning of the event. Letter carriers will collect donations along their routes and deliver them to local organizations, including the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County and Person to Person, helping stock shelves ahead of the summer months.
A virtual food drive is also available, offering the option to donate fresh produce online.
Donations of shelf-stable items such as canned goods, pasta, rice, and cereal are encouraged.
For more information or to participate in the virtual food drive, visit foodbanklfc.org or call 203-358-8898.
