RiverFare 2025 at the Connecticut River Museum

RiverFare 2025 offers a memorable experience aboard the RiverQuest for a relaxing morning cruise to the Lynde Point and Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouses. Departing from Steamboat Dock in Essex, this two-hour excursion travels down the scenic Connecticut River, with views of the historic towns of Essex, Old Saybrook, and Old Lyme along the way. Passengers will enjoy narration highlighting the river’s ecology, history, and notable landmarks.
The cruise runs from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 6. Guests are welcome to bring their own picnic baskets to enjoy while taking in the natural beauty of one of the last pristine riverways in the region.
Lighthouse enthusiasts participating in the U.S. Lighthouse Society Passport Program can receive stamps for Lynde Point and Saybrook Breakwater Lighthouses either during or after the cruise. A minimum $1 donation per stamp is suggested, with proceeds supporting the U.S. Lighthouse Society’s preservation efforts.
