Martin Kline: The World In All Its Plenitude at Heather Gaudio Fine Art

Heather Gaudio Fine Art presents Martin Kline: The World In All Its Plenitude, a comprehensive solo exhibition featuring thirty-nine works by renowned painter and sculptor Martin Kline. On view from May 3 through June 14, 2025, the show highlights Kline’s decades-long engagement with encaustic painting, drawing, and sculpture, unified by the evocative use of the color blue. The gallery will host an opening reception on Saturday, May 3, from 4 to 6 pm.

Spanning works from 1997 to 2025, the exhibition explores recurring themes and techniques in Kline’s practice—gridded compositions, textured surfaces, and his celebrated Bloom and Jewel paintings. Among the highlights is Diagonal Blue Growth on Canvas, a striking piece cast in bronze and finished with a blue patina. A fully illustrated catalogue with an essay by noted art critic and poet Carter Ratcliff accompanies the exhibition.
