River Tales at the Connecticut River Museum
Young readers and their caregivers are invited to enjoy stories, creativity, and hands-on learning during River Tales at the Connecticut River Museum on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Two sessions are available from 11 am to 12 pm and 1 pm to 2 pm.
Designed for children ages 4 and older, this family-friendly program introduces young learners to the wildlife, history, and natural beauty of the Connecticut River through engaging storytime and a take-home craft activity. Each session encourages curiosity and creativity while helping children connect with the region’s rich cultural and environmental heritage.
Participants should check in at the Museum’s front desk upon arrival. Details about the featured book and craft activity will be announced closer to the event.
Admission to River Tales is $3 per learner for non-members and free for Connecticut River Museum members. Museum admission is not included with the program registration.
