Red, White & Broadway: Songs for America’s 250th at Mattatuck Museum

A musical journey through American history takes the stage at the Mattatuck Museum during Red, White & Broadway: Songs for America’s 250th on July 9, 2026, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. Presented in celebration of the nation’s Semiquincentennial, this special performance explores 250 years of American stories through the power of music and theater.

The Naugatuck Valley Cabaret Singers, under the direction of Professor Gil Harel, return to the museum with a program that traces key moments in American history through selections from acclaimed productions including 1776, Ragtime, Assassins, and Hamilton. Combining part-harmony singing with storytelling, the performance examines the people, events, and ideas that have shaped the United States over the past two and a half centuries.

Admission is $20 for adults, $15 for Mattatuck Museum members, and $10 for Naugatuck Valley Community College students.
