Playing Images at Yale University Art Gallery

The Yale University Art Gallery in New Haven presents Playing Images, a special performance by the Haven String Quartet on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 3:00 pm. This unique program blends live music with art appreciation, inviting attendees to reflect on the emotional and aesthetic connections between music and visual art.
The performance will be accompanied by conversation and close looking at selected artworks, led by Jessica Sack, the Jan and Frederick Mayer Curator of Public Education. The event includes a question-and-answer session with members of the quartet, offering an engaging opportunity to explore how sound can shape the way we experience visual culture.
An encore performance is scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, at 12:30 pm.
