A lively, family-friendly musical comedy premieres April 24 through May 10, 2026 at the Milford Arts Council (The MAC), 40 Railroad Avenue South, Milford, CT 06460.
Presented by Pantochino Productions Inc., A Lad in Manhattan is a fresh and playful reimagining of the classic Aladdin story—this time set in 1970s Times Square. Featuring a disco-infused score, the show follows a young man from Long Island chasing dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, encountering colorful characters and outrageous adventures along the way.
With book and lyrics by Bert Bernardi and music by Justin Rugg, the production blends humor, heart, and high-energy entertainment designed to delight audiences of all ages. Known for its signature panto style, the show delivers both kid-friendly fun and clever humor for adults.
The cast includes Mary Mannix, Shelley Marsh Poggio, Rachelle Ianniello, Valerie Solli, Justin Rugg, Jimmy Johansmeyer, and Chad Celini in the title role, with special guest star Victoria Sautee.
Performances are scheduled Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 2 pm and 5:30 pm, and Sundays at 2 pm. Seating is cabaret-style, and guests are welcome to bring their own food and drinks. Free parking is available during showtimes in nearby train station lots.
