Open Hours: Weston at Work and the Coley House at Weston History & Culture CenterAn interactive afternoon exploring local history takes place on May 3, 2026 from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road, Weston, CT 06883.

Visitors can experience the hands-on exhibit “Weston at Work” in the historic Coley barn, where the story of agriculture, manufacturing, and textile production in Weston comes to life. The exhibit features engaging activities such as wool carding, weaving, and hands-on demonstrations, alongside historic tools and images that highlight the diverse people who contributed to the town’s development.

Guided tours of the Coley House offer a look at life during the 1940s, with interactive elements that allow guests to explore daily routines on the home front during World War II. Visitors can try vintage technologies, learn about family life during the era, and gain insight into how global events shaped everyday living.

Additional exhibits in the Visitor’s Center include displays on the Weston Meteorite, the Flood of 1955, and other key moments in local history. Guests can also explore the grounds, including the Daniel E. Offutt, III Sculpture Garden and interpretive signage throughout the Coley Homestead.

Parking and entrance are accessed via High Acre Road. The center is regularly open Thursdays and the first and last Sundays of each month from 1 pm to 4 pm, excluding holidays.
