Open Days: Hartford County Garden Tour at Multiple Locations

Explore four exceptional private gardens during the Garden Conservancy’s Open Days program on Saturday, August 1, 2026. From 10 am to 4 pm, registered guests can visit distinctive gardens throughout Hartford County and experience a variety of landscapes, horticultural collections, and creative garden designs that are not typically open to the public.

Participating gardens include The Avon Flower House in Avon, Garden of Robin Lensi and The Salsedo Family Garden in Burlington, and Idyll Haven On The Rocks in Canton. Visitors will discover rare conifers and ornamental plants, colorful perennial gardens, scenic hilltop landscapes, architectural garden features, and collections of trees, shrubs, grasses, and vines while learning about the unique vision behind each garden.

The gardens are open from 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets are $10 per person or $5 for Garden Conservancy members. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advance online registration is required, and pets are not permitted.
