Open Day at New Pond Farm Education Center

A welcoming, family-friendly open house takes place on May 16, 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm at New Pond Farm Education Center, 101 Marchant Road, Redding, CT 06896.

Open Day invites visitors to explore the beauty, history, and vibrant community of this unique farm and education center. Guests can wander scenic grounds filled with diverse habitats and wildlife while learning about the farm’s mission and programs from staff and board members.

Inside the Learning Center, enjoy hands-on experiences including exploring a Native American museum with artifacts and reproductions, meeting resident program animals, and sampling fresh dairy products. Outdoors, visitors can spend time with barnyard animals and take in the peaceful surroundings.

This free event is open to all, with no registration required. Visitors are encouraged to check the website for weather updates after 9 am on the day of the event. Please note that dogs are not permitted.
