Museum Theater: The Slave Narratives at Florence Griswold Museum
May 18 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Florence Griswold Museum presents The Slave Narratives, a powerful afternoon of storytelling featuring master storyteller Andre Keitt. This museum theater program brings to life the real experiences of newly emancipated individuals through their own words, offering a moving window into this chapter of American history.
Andre Keitt is an independent folklore lecturer and storyteller, widely known for his work in literacy and arts education throughout Connecticut. His storytelling is informed by his work with the Hartford Stage Company, The Bushnell Memorial, Connecticut Humanities, and other institutions. He currently serves as Artistic Director of Journey Writers, Inc., and is active with the Farmington Historical Society and the Connecticut Freedom Trail.
The program will take place on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 pm at the Florence Griswold Museum, 96 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, Connecticut. For more information, visit florencegriswoldmuseum.org or call 860-434-5542.
