Midsummer Concert 2025 at Florence Griswold Museum

The Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme will host its annual free Midsummer Concert on Friday, July 25, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm along the scenic banks of the Lieutenant River. This summer tradition is a festive kickoff to Old Lyme’s Midsummer Festival weekend.

This year’s concert features the return of the Savage Brothers Band, a six-piece funk, rock, and rhythm group with a dynamic two-piece horn section. Based in Hartford and active since 1984, the Savage Brothers have performed extensively across New England and beyond. Their high-energy shows have seen them share stages with legendary acts such as Tower of Power, Joan Osborne, The Guess Who, and Dickey Betts of the Allman Brothers. Known for their crowd-pleasing blend of original music and popular covers, the band has built a loyal following over more than 6,000 performances.

Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic or enjoy offerings from local food truck vendors on site. Attendees are welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs to secure a comfortable viewing spot for the evening.
