Members-Only Exhibit Celebration: Rhythm of the River: Music and Memory Along the Connecticut at Connecticut River Museum

Connecticut River Museum members are invited to celebrate the opening of Rhythm of the River: Music and Memory Along the Connecticut on Thursday, August 6, 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm.

Held in the museum’s Boathouse, this members-only event features light refreshments and an exclusive first look at the new exhibition. Rhythm of the River explores the Connecticut River as a rich acoustic landscape, highlighting the sounds of daily life, wildlife, and river travel through original artwork, photographs, sheet music, sound recordings, musical instruments, steam whistles, dinner chimes, and other historical artifacts. Interactive exhibits also invite visitors to engage with and contribute to the sounds and stories of the river.
