Lectures Underway: Gillette Castle at the Connecticut River Museum

Hosted by the Connecticut River Museum, this special cruise features noted Gillette Castle expert Paul Schiller, offering a deep dive into the fascinating history of William Gillette and his eccentric estate.

Paul Schiller, affectionately known as a “Castle Nerd” and “Gillexpert,” brings nearly a decade of experience working at Gillette Castle, where he served as tour guide, archivist, educator, and researcher. His presentation will take attendees “behind the stones” of the legendary castle, unveiling its unique design, hidden features, and the enigmatic life of its creator, famed stage actor William Gillette.

This event is part of the Connecticut River Museum’s ongoing Lectures Underway series and offers guests a rare opportunity to enjoy an engaging historical talk while cruising the scenic Connecticut River. Tickets are $30 for members and $35 for non-members, and space is limited.
