Immigrant Stories: Andrea Santos at Palace Theater

An evening of personal storytelling and community conversation takes place on May 19, 2026 from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Palace Theater, 100 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.

Part of the Immigrant Stories series, the event features Andrea Santos, originally from the Dominican Republic, sharing her experiences as a teacher, gardener, wife, mother, and small business owner in Connecticut.

Andrea and her husband operate Sunshine Lavender Farm, a sustainable lavender farm located in Waterbury. Through her work in both education and farming, she focuses on cultivating connection, gratitude, and growth within her family and community.

The evening explores themes of immigration, resilience, family, entrepreneurship, and the meaningful role that gardening and education play in Andrea’s life and mission to create lasting positive impact.
