Garden Conservancy Open Days: Cornwall Garden Tour

Garden enthusiasts are invited to explore two exceptional private landscapes during the Garden Conservancy Open Days program on Saturday, June 13, in Cornwall, Connecticut. Open from 10 am to 4 pm, this one-day event offers a rare opportunity to visit distinctive gardens that showcase the creativity, vision, and dedication of their owners.

Featured on the tour is Michael’s West Cornwall Garden, an intimate Old World-inspired landscape overlooking the Housatonic River. Visitors will discover cobbled pathways, terraced gardens, raised perennial beds, reflecting pools, and design influences reminiscent of the French and Italian countryside.

Guests can also visit the Garden of Jane Garmey, a historic property featuring a rich collection of plantings surrounding a colonial home. Highlights include giant Petasites japonicus, potted succulents, container gardens, a decorative rill and fountain, and majestic 250-year-old sugar maple trees.

Presented through the Garden Conservancy’s nationally recognized Open Days program, the event offers visitors an inside look at private gardens that are typically not open to the public. Open Days has welcomed more than 1.4 million visitors to thousands of gardens across the United States since its launch.

Admission is $10 per person and $5 for Garden Conservancy members. Children ages 12 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a parent or guardian. Advance online registration is required, and pets are not permitted.

The gardens are located in Cornwall, CT, with specific location details provided upon registration. For tickets and additional information, visit gardenconservancy.org/opendays.
