The New Britain Museum of American Art’s signature social event returns with live music, art, food, and spirits. Down to Funk, one of New England’s premier cover bands, will headline the evening with favorites spanning from the 1970s to today. Known for their dynamic performances and family roots, the band has collaborated with artists such as Javier Colón, Matt Oestricher, Allen Stone, and Matt Cusson, bringing high-energy entertainment to audiences across the region.
Guests can enjoy access to Museum galleries as part of their ticket, along with a cash bar. Doors open at 5:30 pm. The event offers limited seating with a full dance floor, so arriving early is recommended for those hoping to secure chairs.
First Friday is a 21+ event and children are not permitted. Tickets are available online in advance at $8 for members and $16 for non-members, or at the door for $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Online sales close at 5 pm on the day of the event.
