Final Foraging Hike of 2026 at Franc Preserve

Search the woods for fungi, plants, and rocks on a leisurely guided hike with a foraging expert. The route is estimated at 1 to 2 miles, mostly through forest. The hike takes place Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 1 pm.
Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and consider using tick repellent. Leashed dogs are welcome if they are comfortable around strangers and other dogs. Light rain or mist will not cancel the hike; cancellations due to heavy rain or unsafe trail conditions will be posted that morning. Participants will be asked to sign a liability release. Anyone who chooses to take and eat foraged items does so at their own risk.
