Family Program: Sensing History at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Curiosity and creativity take center stage during this hands-on family program exploring how the senses shape our understanding of the world. Sensing History invites children and caregivers to experiment with touch and sound through interactive activities, including identifying objects in a mystery box without sight, discovering how sound travels, and creating a unique sensory portrait inspired by their experiences. The program encourages playful exploration while helping families think differently about how people experience history and their surroundings.
The program will take place on Saturday, January 3, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, located at 1 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT. Families are welcome to drop in during the program hours.
For more information, visitors can contact the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History or visit the museum during regular open hours.
