Early Elton Trio: The Incredible Mixed Show ’70 – ’72 at Infinity Music Hall

Early Elton Trio pays tribute to the legendary Elton John, Dee Murray, and Nigel Olsson trio tours of 1970–1972. Featuring Jeff Kazee of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on piano and vocals, Rich Pagano of The Fab Faux on drums and vocals, and John Conte of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes on bass and vocals, the group recreates the raw and poignant sound that emerged when Elton first toured the U.S. with this stripped-down lineup.

Their shows draw from rare video footage, bootlegs, and demos to capture the spirit, energy, and mood of Elton’s early trio period while blending faithful homage with fresh interpretation. Audiences can expect favorites such as “Take Me to the Pilot,” “Levon,” “Amoreena,” “Indian Sunset,” “Burn Down the Mission,” “Country Comfort,” and “Madman Across the Water.” The trio has also been known to perform complete albums like Tumbleweed Connection and Madman Across the Water, as well as the full live concert 11-17-70.
