35 Year Celebration at Garde Arts Center

The 35 Year Celebration brings together an all-star lineup of musicians who have graced the covers of Sound Waves Magazine over the past three and a half decades. Hosted and emceed by David “Lefty” Foster & The Shaboo All-Stars with the Uptown Horns—the legendary horn section of the Rolling Stones—this one-night-only event promises an unforgettable evening of music.

Featured performers include Christine Ohlman, Carl Ricci, Paul Gabriel, Duke Robillard, Steve Bigelow, Doug James, Greg Piccolo, James Montgomery, Tommy Ferraro, Al Copley, Sugar Ray Norcia, Bobby Christina, Bruce Katz, Jake Kulak, Christine Cooney, and Willie J Laws Jr.

Special guest Ana Popovic, hailed as “one helluva guitar-player” by Bruce Springsteen and dubbed “the female Stevie Ray Vaughan” by Sound Waves Magazine, will join the celebration. Popovic has been nominated for seven Blues Music Awards and was the only female guitarist in the all-star Experience Hendrix lineup alongside Buddy Guy, Eric Johnson, Jonny Lang, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd.

The concert takes place on August 23, 2025, at 8:00 pm at Garde Arts Center, 325 State Street, New London, CT 06320. Sponsored by Printing Plus, Shaboo Productions, and Milestone Restaurant, this milestone event is 35 years in the making.
