Docktails & Oysters at Copps Island Oysters by Norm Bloom and Son

Fresh oysters, waterfront views, live music, and maritime history come together during Docktails & Oysters on Saturday, June 20, 2026, from 5 pm to 7 pm at Copps Island Oysters by Norm Bloom and Son in Norwalk. Hosted by the Norwalk Seaport Association in partnership with the fourth-generation oyster farming family, the annual event serves as one of the organization’s signature summer fundraisers.
Set along the working waterfront at Norm Bloom and Son’s historic oyster farm, the evening celebrates Connecticut’s rich maritime heritage while raising funds for the preservation of Sheffield Island Lighthouse and the Seaport Association’s educational programs. Guests will enjoy freshly harvested Copps Island Oysters, shucked on-site and served with lemon and a variety of sauces, along with stationed appetizers catered by Seaside Sliders, craft beer, and wine.
The event offers a rare opportunity to experience one of Long Island Sound’s renowned oyster farms while learning about the generations-old traditions that continue to shape Norwalk’s oyster industry. Live music and waterfront scenery provide the backdrop for a relaxed evening of socializing and coastal cuisine.
Attendance is limited to 200 guests, and the event regularly sells out. Proceeds support the ongoing restoration of Sheffield Island Lighthouse and the Norwalk Seaport Association’s mission of preserving and promoting the region’s maritime history.
Copps Island Oysters by Norm Bloom and Son is located at 7 Edgewater Place, Norwalk, CT 06855.
