Docent Tour: William Blake – Burning Bright at Yale Center for British Art

Step into the visionary world of William Blake during a docent-led tour of William Blake: Burning Bright at the Yale Center for British Art. This guided experience highlights the artist’s groundbreaking fusion of art and poetry, showcasing some of the museum’s most remarkable Blake holdings.

Visitors will explore illuminated books, hand-colored prints, and watercolors that reveal Blake’s radical ideas about religion, politics, and the human condition during a period of great social and cultural transformation. Led by one of the Center’s knowledgeable volunteer docents, this 45-minute tour offers a closer look at how Blake’s imagination and artistry continue to inspire generations.

The tour will take place on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 3:00 to 3:45 pm. Participants should meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk before the tour begins.

The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free.
