Docent Tour: The Architecture of the YCBA at Yale Center for British Art

This docent-led tour offers an in-depth look at the celebrated architecture of the Yale Center for British Art. Designed by renowned modernist architect Louis I. Kahn, the building is considered one of his masterpieces, known for its striking use of natural light, thoughtful materials, and harmonious spatial design. Volunteer museum educators will guide visitors through the space, sharing insights into Kahn’s vision and the architectural elements that make the museum an internationally recognized landmark.

The tour will take place on December 14, 2025, from 3:00 to 3:45 pm, and meets in the Entrance Court near the Visitor Services desk. Space is limited.
