Christmas Ekphrastic Poetry Workshop at the Mark Twain House & Museum

The Mark Twain House library becomes a festive creative space during this seasonal poetry workshop led by poet and master teaching artist Victoria Nordlund. Participants will explore the art of ekphrastic poetry, drawing inspiration from the holiday décor, artworks, and historic surroundings of the house. Writers of all experience levels are welcome, and the session encourages a range of poetic forms, from haiku suites to free verse and concrete poetry.
The workshop will take place on December 14, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:30 pm. Tickets are $40 per person or $35 for members, and advance reservations are recommended.
