Distilled Beauty: The Art of Tobi Kahn at Fairfield University

Fairfield University’s Arts & Minds series will present Distilled Beauty: The Art of Tobi Kahn on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at 7:30 pm in the Dogwood Room of the Barone Campus Center. Part of the Bettie and Samuel Roberts Jewish Art Lectureship, this event highlights the work of painter and sculptor Tobi Kahn, whose art has been featured in over 70 solo exhibitions and numerous museum shows since his early inclusion in the 1985 Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum’s “New Horizons in American Art.”

Kahn’s work explores the relationship between spirituality, beauty, and memory through abstraction, drawing on traditions of sacred art and symbolism. His art aims to transform personal and collective pasts into visionary forms for the future.
