An Evening of Chamber Works by Raven Chacon at Yale Schwarzman Center

Pulitzer Prize-winning composer, musician, and artist Raven Chacon will be featured in a compelling evening of chamber performances on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm at The Dome at Yale Schwarzman Center. A highlight of Chacon’s multi-venue residency at Yale, the event will include the premiere of a solo double bass work commissioned by Schwarzman Center and performed by sound artist Ross Wightman.

The concert will also showcase Chacon’s earlier works, performed by Yale students, faculty, and guest artists, including violinist Maiani da Silva of Eighth Blackbird, cellist Rhonda Rider, and vocalist Royce K. Young Wolf, PhD.

This event is part of a broader multidisciplinary residency by Chacon, which includes engagements across Yale institutions such as the Yale Peabody Museum, Yale University Art Gallery, the Yale School of Music, and the Yale Center for Collaborative Arts and Media.
