Corn Maze & Cider Donut Harvest Music Festival at Lyman Orchards
Fall festivities take over Lyman Orchards on Saturday, September 12, and Sunday, September 13, from 10 am to 4 pm during the Corn Maze & Cider Donut Harvest Music Festival. Admission to the festival is free, with live music, family activities, food trucks, and seasonal farm attractions throughout the weekend.
This year’s Corn Maze theme is “250 Years of the U.S.A.” The maze is open from 10 am to 5:30 pm, with admission of $12 for ages 13 and older, $7 for ages 4 to 12, and free for children ages 3 and under. Horse-drawn wagon rides, the Circle K Petting Farm, a trackless train, face painting, yard games, and other activities will also be available. Pick-your-own apples, peaches, and pears, the Apple Barrel Deli, and the ice cream window will be open as well.
Live music takes place from noon to 4 pm at the Apple Barrel Tent. Saturday’s lineup features Silver Threads, a Linda Ronstadt tribute, from noon to 1 pm, followed by The Convertibles from 2 to 3:30 pm. Sunday’s performances include Beth & The Boys from noon to 2 pm and Forgotten by Friday from 2 to 4 pm. Food trucks will be available from 11 am to 3 pm, and a beer garden will operate behind the Apple Barrel Tent from noon to 4 pm. Alcoholic beverages must remain within the designated tent area.
The festival is hosted by St. Jude Connecticut Network as its 33rd annual fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. A portion of sales from the beer garden and soft-serve ice cream purchases on Saturday and Sunday will benefit St. Jude Connecticut Network. Free activities include the live music and several of the family activities, while individual attractions such as the corn maze, wagon rides, petting farm, and trackless train have separate admission fees.
The event takes place at Lyman Orchards Apple Barrel Farm Market, 32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield, CT 06455. Activities and food trucks are subject to change.
