Behind-the-Scenes Tour: Remembering G. Fox and Co. at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

This behind-the-scenes tour at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History offers a nostalgic look at Hartford’s most iconic department store, G. Fox & Co. Guests will explore a special collection of memorabilia that ranges from elegant wedding gowns to everyday items like branded toilet paper, showcasing how the store shaped local shopping and style for generations. The tour also highlights the legacy of Beatrice Fox Auerbach, the pioneering businesswoman who led G. Fox & Co. through its golden age and became a powerful figure in retail and philanthropy.

The tour takes place on December 14, 2025, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance online and are $15 for general admission, $10 for Connecticut Museum members at levels under $150, and free for member levels $150 and above.
