The beloved 1985 film Back to the Future takes center stage in a new, award-winning musical production coming to The Bushnell in Hartford on June 4, 2025. This high-energy Broadway hit captures the adventure and excitement of the original film, now adapted for the stage by the movie’s creators Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis.
Directed by Tony Award®-winner John Rando, Back to the Future: The Musical features original music by Grammy® winners Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, along with iconic hits from the film such as “The Power of Love,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “Earth Angel,” and “Back in Time.” The production has earned accolades including the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and multiple WhatsOnStage Awards.
Audiences will follow Marty McFly as he is transported back to 1955 in Doc Brown’s time-traveling DeLorean, where he must repair the past to save the future. With spectacular effects, catchy songs, and a timeless story, this show offers fun for fans of all ages.
